This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Evaluate and manage complex general liability claims by investigating and collecting information to assess claim exposure.
β’ Oversee claims with well-structured action plans to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions.
β’ Direct the litigation process, ensuring claims are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
β’ Coordinate referrals to vendors for further investigation and/or management of litigation.
β’ Facilitate team meetings and delegate responsibilities for follow-up tasks.
β’ Compile compliance and claims processing data for team discussions.
β’ Assist in interviewing adjusters and clerical staff, providing feedback to the hiring manager.
β’ Support the team leader with monthly assessments of adjuster workloads, identify trends, and recommend adjustments.
β’ Potentially supervise up to three direct reports.
β’ Implement company personnel policies while adhering to staffing standards and training guidelines.
β’ Conduct interviews, hire candidates, create performance development plans, and engage in performance discussions.
β’ Offer support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to enhance overall performance.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
β’ Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
β’ Experience in the Southeast jurisdiction is necessary.
β’ Florida experience is essential.
β’ Florida licensing is required.
β’ Ability to think clearly and conceptually.
