Claims Examiner, Workers Comp – Southeast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate claims on behalf of clients to ascertain the benefits owed.

• Maintain continuous adjudication of claims in alignment with service expectations, industry best practices, and client service standards.

• Assess and manage claims through action plans to achieve timely and appropriate resolutions.

• Investigate and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Negotiate settlements for claims within the specified authority.

• Communicate claim activities and processes to claimants and clients effectively.

• Report claims to the excess carrier.

• Respond to requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.

• Florida licensing is required.

• Knowledge of jurisdictions: FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, AR, KY.

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.

• Exceptional judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capability to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.

• Capacity to meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in computer keyboarding.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Ability to hear, see, and communicate effectively.
