Claims Examiner, Auto – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +41 more states.

📋 Description

• Analyze and manage complex bodily injury claims related to auto and commercial transportation.

• Review coverage, conduct investigations, ascertain liability, and assess the extent of damages.

• Handle intricate auto commercial and personal line claims, particularly those involving bodily injury.

• Ensure that claim files are thoroughly documented and accurately coded.

• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in dispute.

• Coordinate vendor management, which includes independent adjusters.

• Report significant claims to excess insurance carriers.

• Develop and uphold action plans to satisfy state-mandated contact deadlines.

• Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation and risk transfer; manage salvage acquisition and disposal.

• Communicate claim actions and processing details with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers.

• Support the organization's quality initiatives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.

• Comprehensive knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and applicable laws.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.

• Proficient with PCs, including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Must obtain and maintain state adjusting licenses as necessary for the role.

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
