Claims Appraiser – Auto Estimatics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Gather vehicle information from customers or repair shops

• Prepare initial and supplemental estimates through photos or in person

• Meet with policyholders to clarify coverage, assess vehicle damage, and assist them through the claims process

• Use automated estimating systems to generate repair estimates

• Offer technical support to claims handlers regarding vehicle repair matters

• Leverage knowledge of market value and factors influencing reparability

• Review bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues

• Handle inbound calls and initiate outbound calls to customers and repair shops

• Deliver outstanding customer service while addressing inquiries and concerns

• Engage with individuals who may express strong emotions regarding inspections or claim resolutions

• Alternate between working from home for virtual estimates and using a mobile office/vehicle for face-to-face appointments

• Operate outside the designated territory as business needs require

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or as an auto insurance appraiser

• Exceptional customer service, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities

• Ability to manage multiple tasks across various technical platforms

• Demonstrated accountability and resourcefulness

• Physical agility to stoop, bend, and perform some lifting to assess vehicle damage and create repair estimates

• Valid driver's license is mandatory

• Successful completion of necessary training, proficiency and licensing exams, Motor Vehicle Record checks, and background checks

• Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License is preferred

• Familiarity with CCC One and/or Mitchell is preferred

• I-CAR Platinum Certification is preferred

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and/or irregular hours
