Claims Advisor, Auto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of repairable physical damage claims from the moment they are assigned until they are resolved.

• Ensure timely communication with customers and provide clear explanations of the claims and repair processes.

• Assess coverage, loss details, damages, estimates, and all related documentation.

• Make informed liability and coverage decisions within the limits of your authority.

• Collaborate with appraisers, repair facilities, rental providers, insured individuals, and third-party entities.

• Track the progress of repairs, supplements, rental requirements, payments, and any outstanding tasks.

• Maintain precise and timely claim documentation, including detailed file notes and next steps.

• Detect potential fraud/SIU indicators, coverage issues, or other warning signs and escalate as necessary.

• Identify claims that may be Total Loss or Complex Claims and refer them to the appropriate specialized team.

• Take ownership of assigned physical damage claims and actively follow up to prevent unnecessary delays.

• Ensure a positive customer experience through effective communication, timely follow-ups, and successful claim resolution.

• Adhere to established claims handling guidelines, authority levels, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service.

• Prior experience as an auto adjuster is preferred.

• Ability to understand and interpret policies effectively.

• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

• Proficient keyboard skills and familiarity with computer systems.

• Experience in claims processing.

• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
