Claim Specialist – Property Field Inspection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site evaluations and inspections of damage related to residential and commercial properties.

• Serve as the initial point of contact for insured individuals, explaining coverage details, estimating damages, and guiding them through the claims process.

• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other relevant parties to collect information and resolve claims efficiently.

• Maintain professionalism when interacting with individuals expressing strong emotions or concerns.

• Deliver outstanding customer service while addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.

• Collect evidence, document findings, and create comprehensive reports.

• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims involving exposures up to $500,000.

• Assess coverage and policy terms to determine the validity of claims and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits.

• Operate remotely and utilize a mobile office or vehicle for in-person visits.

• Occasionally travel outside the designated territory to support other areas.

• Adapt to flexible schedules, including overtime and irregular hours as required.

• Must be an experienced and highly skilled professional.

• Demonstrated ability to investigate issues, assess information, and make well-supported decisions.

• Capable of interpreting detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and applying them accurately.

• Quick learner of unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology.

• Proficient in effective interaction with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially for challenging or emotional conversations.

• Detail-oriented with robust organizational and analytical capabilities.

• Proficient in using mobile and desktop tools for documenting and supporting claims both in the field and remotely.

• Physical capability to walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, stoop, lift, carry, unfold, climb ladders, navigate roofs, and fit into tight spaces.

• Completion of Rope and Harness Safety Training may be required.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Must successfully complete all required training, relevant proficiency and licensing examinations, MVR checks, and background screenings.

• Prior customer service experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with property insurance concepts is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and materials is preferred.

• Understanding of water mitigation principles and inspection processes is preferred.

• Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents is preferred.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
