Claim Specialist – Property Field Inspection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site inspections and evaluations of damage to residential and commercial properties.

• Serve as the initial point of contact for insured clients.

• Clarify coverage details and assess damages.

• Provide exceptional service by guiding policyholders through the claims process.

• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other relevant parties.

• Collect evidence and document findings comprehensively.

• Create detailed reports that support the claims handling process.

• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.

• Assess coverage and policy terms to ensure claim validity and compliance with regulations.

• Negotiate and settle claims within approved limits.

• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.

• Occasionally engage with parties expressing strong emotions or concerns.

• Travel outside the designated area to assist in other territories when necessary.

• Adapt to flexible schedules, including overtime or irregular hours as required.

• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information accurately.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills for navigating difficult or emotional conversations.

• Detail-oriented with robust organizational and analytical capabilities.

• Proficient in using mobile and desktop tools for documenting and supporting claims both in the field and remotely.

• Physical agility required for activities such as walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, lifting, carrying, unfolding, and climbing ladders.

• Ability to utilize appropriate equipment for traversing roofs at various heights and pitches.

• Capability to crawl in tight spaces.

• Completion of Rope and Harness Safety Training may be necessary.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Candidates must successfully complete required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, Motor Vehicle Record checks, and background checks.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with property insurance concepts is advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and materials is preferred.

• Awareness of water mitigation principles and inspection processes is desirable.

• Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents is preferred.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
