This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan, +5 more countries.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of engineering tasks from start to finish, encompassing problem statements, structural and geotechnical models, load cases, simulation data, computational environments, reference solutions, and automated tests.
• Validate tasks that involve structural analysis, finite-element analysis (FEA), earthquake and wind engineering, structural dynamics, geotechnical modeling, hydraulics, hydrology, transportation, and infrastructure systems.
• Ensure that tasks demand substantial, multi-step engineering reasoning and mirror real-world civil and structural engineering processes.
• Confirm technical accuracy concerning units, equilibrium, boundary conditions, load combinations, design codes, numerical stability, convergence, and safety factors.
• Validate computational models, solvers, dependencies, and simulation outputs to ensure accuracy and reproducibility.
• Review automated graders to guarantee they evaluate meaningful engineering outcomes, including forces, deflections, drifts, settlements, factors of safety, flow rates, and structural performance.
• Detect incorrect assumptions, technical inaccuracies, inappropriate tolerances, and opportunities to circumvent legitimate engineering analysis.
• Offer actionable technical feedback and monitor task revisions until completion.
• Mentor and assist 5–10 trainers, assign work, oversee quality and productivity, and address technical obstacles.
• Establish and uphold quality standards, technical documentation, and best practices throughout task development.
• PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical expertise in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, C/C++, Julia, Fortran, or MATLAB/Octave.
• Competence in working within Linux and command-line environments.
• Practical expertise in at least one primary area, such as structural analysis, FEA, earthquake engineering, geotechnical modeling, or hydraulic/hydrological modeling.
• Strong grasp of engineering principles, numerical methods, simulation workflows, and validation of computational models.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering design standards, such as ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, or IS codes.
• Experience in reviewing intricate technical work, engineering simulations, research outputs, or computational models.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to identify engineering inaccuracies, edge cases, and flawed assumptions.
• Experience in mentoring, reviewing, or leading small technical teams.
• Exceptional written communication skills for providing technical feedback and documentation.
• Comprehensive health and wellness programs.
• Opportunities for professional development and training.
• Flexible work arrangements and a collaborative work environment.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
