This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide construction oversight for projects supporting the Federal Aviation Administration Eastern Service Area.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and Contracting Officers.
• Observe construction activities, reporting on progress and any issues that arise.
• Ensure that projects align with their defined scope, schedule, and objectives.
• Deliver on-site construction monitoring, coordination, and quality assurance services.
• Lead and oversee large-scale construction projects and field operations.
• Act as the main point of contact for contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure contractor adherence to safety policies, regulatory standards, and contract specifications through effective field oversight and construction quality assurance.
• Monitor construction progress, identify potential risks, track deviations, and address complex technical and construction challenges.
• Review Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and work plans.
• Assist with engineering coordination, constructability reviews, and design adjustments driven by field conditions.
• Support inspections, commissioning, and project closure, including tracking and addressing punch list items.
• Maintain precise reports and as-built documentation.
• Communicate the status of projects, associated risks, and updates to all stakeholders.
• Develop solutions to intricate technical problems through independent analysis and engineering judgment.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in constructing commercial, industrial, or government facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, plans/specifications, building materials, and relevant codes and quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and construction document review software (e.g., Bluebeam or similar).
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to meet travel requirements, including possessing a valid driver’s license and passport.
• Capacity to navigate uneven terrain and varied environmental conditions in active construction sites.
• Ability to access elevated work areas using ladders and stairs, up to 12 flights.
• Comfort working in mechanical and equipment rooms with high noise levels and ongoing construction activities.
• Capability to occasionally lift and transport materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Travel expenses are reimbursed following company and federal guidelines.
