Chief Technology Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Establish the company as a leader in data-driven business models across Europe

• Outline the ways in which the financial sector will leverage data

• Propel the organization’s technological vision, incorporating new technologies and product innovations

• Uphold a consistent focus on customer-centricity

• Conduct independent sales discussions with C-level executives

• Motivate decision-makers with foresight in technology and a clear understanding of business value

• Partner with clients to discover new use cases

• Generate feasible business concepts and models from existing capabilities

• Own and prioritize the technology roadmap informed by data

• Ensure engineering and product teams concentrate on high-impact initiatives

• Collaborate with the founder and executive team to define the strategic direction

• Evaluate decision outcomes using well-defined metrics

• Derive actionable next steps from performance insights

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or in a similar technical leadership position

• Preferably experienced in the FinTech or banking industry

• Possess an entrepreneurial and visionary mindset

• Strong awareness of emerging technologies

• Capability to independently develop promising business models from new technologies

• Robust hands-on approach

• Ability to advocate for and promote ideas directly in client interactions

• Clear and persuasive communication skills with clients, teams, executive management, and decision-makers

• In-depth technical knowledge of contemporary cloud architectures

• Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs

• Understanding of data analytics and AI/ML technology stacks

• Insight into banking security and regulatory standards

• Fluent in German at C1/negotiation level

• Fluent in English at C1/negotiation level

• Additional foreign language proficiency is a plus
