Chief Financial Officer – CFO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead the forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning efforts across consulting and product business divisions.

• Ensure adherence to compliance across all entities and jurisdictions, including tax filings and reporting obligations.

• Supervise financial reporting and controls within the expanding multi-entity framework.

• Manage the accounting, tax implications, and treasury aspects of consulting contracts compensated in digital assets.

• Assist sales and delivery teams with financial due diligence for institutional clients, insurance prerequisites, security standards, and financial performance disclosures.

• Create or enhance the closing process, financial controls, and reporting schedule.

• Lead and develop the finance team, which currently includes a controller and a bookkeeper.

• Oversee the fiscal-year closing process and ensure audit readiness.

• Deliver clear financial reports to founders and stakeholders.

• Act as an operating partner and strategic leader for the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in scaling a finance function during substantial company growth, preferably in the 100 to 150+ employee range.

• Practical experience in constructing financial models using spreadsheets and managing a team.

• Global experience with multi-entity operations across various countries.

• Familiarity with insurance requirements, security/compliance standards, and financial due diligence expectations from large financial institutions.

• Required experience with crypto/digital assets, including accounting, tax, and treasury implications of revenue denominated in cryptocurrency.

• Proven track record in developing or significantly enhancing financial controls and operational processes.

• Capacity to lead a small team while engaging in hands-on work.

• Experience with international entity structuring, reporting, and compliance in the London and Asia Pacific regions is a strong advantage.

• Preference for candidates with Puerto Rico tax and compliance experience.

• Experience in the professional services or consulting business model is a plus.
