Chief Financial Officer, Business Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the financial leader and trusted advisor for around 30 solo and small law firm owners.

• Provide guidance on pricing strategies, margins, cash flow management, hiring practices, and growth initiatives.

• Develop financial models, forecasts, and KPI dashboards to aid in decision-making.

• Identify and address issues like pricing discrepancies, unbilled hours, slow collections, and unprofitable hiring.

• Communicate financial insights in clear, understandable terms and assist owners in executing improvements.

• Help law firm owners enhance their business profitability.

• Work with a designated portfolio of potential clients and established systems.

• Engage in a brief, hands-on working session during the interview process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a CFO or the highest-ranking finance leader.

• Background that includes fractional, outsourced, or virtual CFO roles.

• Proven experience advising multiple owners or business lines at the same time.

• Familiarity with utilization, realization, capacity, and revenue per employee.

• Track record of enhancing profitability, pricing, or margins, with measurable outcomes.

• Profit First certification or equivalent Profit First-oriented mindset is highly desirable.

• Candidates must reside in one of the specified states.

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Must be available for full-time employment as a W-2 employee without any external work or consulting obligations.

• Legal experience is not a prerequisite.
