This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan, +5 more countries.
• Oversee, guide, and manage a team of 5–10 technical trainers, ensuring uniform quality, productivity, and timely delivery.
• Analyze engineering assignments thoroughly, which includes problem statements, reaction kinetics, thermodynamic and property data, process flowsheets, computational environments, reference solutions, and automated testing.
• Validate assignments pertaining to reaction engineering, thermodynamics, phase equilibria, transport phenomena, separation processes, process simulation, process control, optimization, combustion, and electrochemical engineering.
• Ensure that tasks represent realistic chemical engineering workflows and necessitate substantial, multi-step technical reasoning.
• Confirm mass and energy balances, thermodynamic consistency, property data, unit handling, numerical precision, and solver convergence.
• Validate computational models, including stiff ODE/DAE solvers, tolerances, initial conditions, dependencies, and ensure reproducibility of simulation results.
• Review automated graders to guarantee they evaluate significant engineering outputs such as conversion, yield, selectivity, purity, energy consumption, and adherence to process constraints.
• Detect technical inaccuracies, unrealistic assumptions, incorrect tolerances, and opportunities to circumvent genuine engineering calculations.
• Provide constructive technical feedback, monitor revisions, and ensure that any issues are addressed prior to task approval.
• Onboard trainers, assign tasks, oversee quality and throughput, resolve technical barriers, and uphold documentation and best practices.
• PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical expertise in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong programming abilities in Python, Julia, C/C++, or MATLAB/Octave.
• Proficiency in Linux and command-line interfaces.
• Practical experience in at least one major area such as process modeling, reaction kinetics, thermodynamic modeling, process simulation, or optimization.
• Solid understanding of chemical engineering principles, numerical methods, computational modeling, and technical validation.
• Experience in reviewing intricate technical work, chemical process simulations, computational models, or research outputs.
• Capability to assess mass and energy balances, thermodynamic assumptions, numerical accuracy, solver convergence, and computational reliability.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to pinpoint technical errors, edge cases, and flawed engineering assumptions.
• Experience in mentoring, reviewing, or leading small technical teams.
• Exceptional written communication skills for delivering precise technical feedback and documentation.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
• Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
