This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bangladesh, +5 more countries.
• Lead, guide, and coordinate a team of 5–10 technical trainers to ensure consistent quality, productivity, and timely delivery of projects.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of engineering tasks from start to finish, covering problem statements, reaction kinetics, thermodynamic and property data, process flowsheets, computational environments, reference solutions, and automated tests.
• Validate tasks related to reaction engineering, thermodynamics, phase equilibria, transport phenomena, separation processes, process simulation, process control, optimization, combustion, and electrochemical engineering.
• Ensure that tasks accurately reflect realistic chemical engineering workflows and necessitate meaningful, multi-step technical reasoning.
• Check mass and energy balances, thermodynamic consistency, property data, unit handling, numerical accuracy, and solver convergence.
• Validate computational models, including stiff ODE/DAE solvers, tolerances, initial conditions, dependencies, and the reproducibility of simulation results.
• Review automated grading systems to confirm they evaluate significant engineering outputs, such as conversion, yield, selectivity, purity, energy consumption, and adherence to process constraints.
• Identify technical inaccuracies, unrealistic assumptions, incorrect tolerances, and potential opportunities to bypass legitimate engineering calculations.
• Provide constructive technical feedback, monitor revisions, and ensure all issues are addressed prior to task approval.
• Onboard trainers, assign tasks, oversee quality and throughput, address technical obstacles, and maintain documentation and best practices.
• PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical expertise in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong programming capabilities in Python, Julia, C/C++, or MATLAB/Octave.
• Proficiency in Linux and command-line interfaces.
• Practical expertise in at least one major field, such as process modeling, reaction kinetics, thermodynamic modeling, process simulation, or optimization.
• Solid understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, numerical methods, computational modeling, and technical validation processes.
• Experience in reviewing complex technical work, chemical process simulations, computational models, or research outputs.
• Capability to assess mass and energy balances, thermodynamic assumptions, numerical precision, solver convergence, and computational reliability.
• Strong analytical judgment with the ability to identify technical errors, edge cases, and flawed engineering assumptions.
• Experience in mentoring, reviewing, or leading small technical teams.
• Excellent written communication skills for delivering precise technical feedback and documentation.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
• A dynamic and collaborative work environment.
• Flexible work hours and potential remote working options.
