This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +6 more states.
• Focus on the development and enablement of channel partners for RUCKUS across fourteen northeastern states.
• Conduct technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept trials.
• Provide technical training sessions both individually and in larger groups.
• Offer input and review for network design.
• Engage in solution-focused selling and positioning targeted towards decision-makers.
• Present to customers, partners, prospects, and at events.
• Carry out pre-sales engineering tasks including network design, RF planning (both passive and active), creation of bills of material, engagement in sales opportunities, and technical training.
• Identify and promote the development of territory account plans that reflect business economics, industry trends, and vertical markets.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of RUCKUS Networks' wireless, wired, and software solutions.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, effectively positioning RUCKUS solutions competitively.
• Assist Territory and/or Partner Account Managers in driving revenue and selling solutions to meet quota targets.
• Support and manage troubleshooting for complex issues.
• Candidates must reside in Virginia, Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, or Connecticut, or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
• An undergraduate or graduate degree (BS/BA minimum) in Electrical Engineering, Networking Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent proven work experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of pre-sales or similar experience working with routers, switches, and Wi-Fi technologies is necessary.
• Professional or associate-level networking industry certifications such as CCNA, BPIPA, JNCIA, Cisco, Aruba, RUCKUS, CWNA, etc., are preferred.
• Strong aptitude for supporting and managing the troubleshooting of complex problems is essential.
• Highly effective technical presentation skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities are expected.
• A proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering, technical sales processes, and critical account management is essential.
• The ability to articulate written and oral technical solutions to executive-level decision-makers and diverse audiences is required.
• Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and their relation to customer network environments is essential.
• Familiarity with the evolution of 802.11 Wi-Fi technology (Wi-Fi 5, 6, 7), network design and assessment, predictive heat map creation, wireless troubleshooting and optimization, IP routing and switching, WAN/LAN design, setup and configuration, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication, SASE, SD-WAN, RADIUS, AD, virtualization environments, VM installations, secure device/user onboarding solutions, and related technologies is necessary.
• Knowledge of DevOps/REST or other common API programming is a plus.
• General knowledge of cloud services (SaaS), VLAN, security, VoIP, QoS, BYOD/MDM, P2P, mesh, wireless controller architectures, Wi-Fi protocols and transmission, RF design, indoor/outdoor wireless deployments, packet capture/analysis tools, and WLAN security is important.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi design tools like Ekahau Survey/AI Pro and Hamina Network Planner is required.
