This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Define, authorize, maintain, and govern customer requirements for current and future vehicle programs.
• Collaborate with Product Planning, Systems Engineering, HMI, Software, Hardware, and Validation teams.
• Decompose customer and stakeholder needs into functional and non-functional requirements at the platform level.
• Analyze and validate requirements to ensure they are complete, consistent, feasible, unambiguous, and aligned with program objectives.
• Create, review, approve, establish baselines, maintain, and track the status of requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate cross-functional reviews to address gaps, conflicts, assumptions, and interface dependencies with global stakeholders.
• Adapt approved platform requirements for specific program applications and document justified deviations.
• Identify customer needs through competitive benchmarking, customer voice clinics, field information, and stakeholder feedback.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability from customer needs to system, subsystem, software, hardware, and validation requirements.
• Assess technical, temporal, economic, regulatory, and validation impacts of changes to requirements.
• Manage changes through the approved review and change control process.
• Collaborate with validation teams to define acceptance criteria and verification methods.
• Confirm requirement coverage and ensure the incorporation and documentation of safety, cybersecurity, regulatory, and industry requirements.
• Intermediate knowledge in Automotive Systems Engineering (functional decomposition, interfaces, architectures, and interaction among software, hardware, network, and physical components).
• Intermediate knowledge in Requirements Management, including definition, authoring, analysis, review, and lifecycle management.
• Intermediate understanding of ISO 26262 and its implications for safety requirements.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements, standards, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with INCOSE Requirements Engineering practices: elicitation, decomposition, allocation, analysis, traceability, verification, validation, and change management.
• Technical communication skills: writing technical requirements, facilitating cross-functional reviews, and explaining technical content to non-technical audiences.
• 5-8 years of experience in the specified technical areas.
• Experience with IBM DOORS Next Gen.
