CFD/FEA Analyst, Mid/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Execute CFD simulations to evaluate fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and pressure distribution within the battery system.

• Perform FEA analyses to assess the structural integrity, fatigue, and longevity of key components.

• Enhance designs for improved thermal efficiency, mechanical strength, and reduced weight.

• Validate models through experimental tests and comparisons with empirical data.

• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and design teams to incorporate analysis findings into product development.

• Create technical reports with suggestions for design enhancements.

• Ensure adherence to industry standards including ASME, ISO, UL, and IEC.

• Play a role in the development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering discipline.

• Strong understanding of heat transfer and fluid dynamics.

• Over 3 years of experience with ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, or STAR-CCM+ for fluid dynamics simulations.

• More than 3 years of experience with ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, Nastran, or SolidWorks Simulation for static/dynamic analysis.

• Capability to engage in design review meetings and assist in the development of technical specifications.

• Proficiency in English at B2–C1 level.

• Preferred: experience with multiphysics simulations (CFD-FEA coupling).

• Preferred: familiarity with iron-air batteries.

• Preferred: knowledge of NFPA 69.

• Preferred: understanding of IEC 62485.

• Preferred: proficiency in Python/MATLAB.
