Certified Pharmacy Technician – Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding customer service in a phone-centric environment.

• Accurately enter large volumes of data and process prescription details.

• Handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers.

• Conduct claim adjudication and auditing, which includes prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility verifications.

• Make outbound calls to patients.

• Address patient care concerns from existing case queues.

• Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to onboard new patients to ExactCare.

• Preserve confidential patient records.

• Obtain and confirm prescription information through calls to doctors.

• Conduct welcome calls to newly onboarded patients.

• Develop, maintain, and update patient medication profiles.

• Provide backup support during periods of high patient call volumes.

• Assist patients with inquiries over the phone.

• Support ExactCare’s nationwide patient population in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• Current certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA).

• Active pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment.

• Comfortable operating in a phone-based setting.

• Capability to work independently.

• Proficient in using computer systems, technology, and various software applications.

• Exceptional customer service abilities.

• Comprehensive drug knowledge.

• Understanding of pharmacy billing practices.

• Familiarity with prescription intake, clarifications, and transfers.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

• Critical thinking skills to document details in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Availability to work an average of 40 hours per week, including outside of normal business hours as required.
