This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Deliver outstanding customer support in a telephone-based setting
• Accurately input large volumes of data and manage prescription information
• Handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers
• Conduct claim adjudication and auditing, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility verification
• Initiate outbound calls to patients
• Address patient care concerns from existing case queues
• Act as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to onboard new patients
• Safeguard confidential patient records
• Obtain and confirm prescription details through communication with doctors
• Conduct welcome calls for newly onboarded patients
• Develop, maintain, and update medication profiles
• Provide additional support during periods of high call volume
• Assist patients with inquiries over the phone
• Support ExactCare’s nationwide patient network
• Reflect AnewHealth’s core values in all communications and interactions
• Participate in special organization or departmental events, team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and client engagements as necessary
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities
• High school diploma or GED
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintain a current certification
• Must hold a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment
• Comfortable working in a phone-based setting
• Ability to work autonomously
• Proficient in using computer equipment, technology, and various software applications
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals
• Understanding of pharmacy billing processes
• Familiarity with procedures for processing prescriptions, clarifications, and transfers
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Capable of critical thinking and documenting relevant details in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Available to work an average of 40 hours per week and outside normal business hours on an as-needed basis
