This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Patient Enrollment: Assist patients in navigating the enrollment process for healthcare programs, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete.
β’ Program Eligibility Assessment: Assess patient eligibility for various healthcare programs based on established criteria, including age, medical conditions, and other qualifying factors.
β’ Patient Consultation: Perform thorough consultations with patients to collect necessary information and explain the benefits and requirements of different healthcare programs.
β’ Documentation and Record-Keeping: Meticulously document patient information, enrollment details, and eligibility assessments in electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems.
β’ Follow-Up and Coordination: Track the status of enrollment applications, communicate with patients, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to streamline the enrollment process.
β’ Patient Education: Offer patients clear and concise explanations regarding the healthcare programs available through Medsien.
β’ Compliance and Privacy: Comply with all pertinent privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, and uphold strict confidentiality of patient information.
β’ Program Updates: Remain updated on changes, enhancements, and new offerings related to healthcare programs, effectively communicating these updates to patients.
β’ Collaborative Approach: Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, social workers, and other relevant parties to ensure a smooth patient enrollment experience.
β’ Certified Medical Assistant: Hold an active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc.).
β’ Medical Terminology: Possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses to accurately evaluate patient eligibility.
β’ Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex information in a clear and comprehensible manner.
β’ Empathy and Compassion: Show a proven ability to interact with patients empathetically, recognizing their needs and concerns.
β’ Attention to Detail: Exhibit a keen eye for detail to ensure the precise completion of enrollment applications and documentation.
β’ Organization and Time Management: Employ effective organizational skills to handle multiple patient enrollments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
β’ Technology Proficiency: Have familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, computer proficiency, and the ability to swiftly learn new software applications.
β’ Ethical Conduct: Maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior when managing sensitive patient information.
β’ Team Player: Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, showcasing flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
