Certified Diabetes Patient Educator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Educate patients about specific diabetes treatments and available resources to assist them in initiating and managing their diabetes along with the prescribed medication.

• Engage in one-on-one interactions with enrolled patients through telephone, video platforms, email, and SMS.

• Adhere strictly to program guidelines.

• Offer educational support exclusively; refrain from providing medical advice or engaging in clinical duties within this role.

• Assist in ensuring patient persistence and compliance.

• Accurately document all interactions.

• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional partners.

• Must operate from a dedicated workspace in their primary home residence.

• Experience in direct patient interaction and support for persistence and compliance.

• Proven skills in time management, planning, prioritization, and multitasking.

• Strong presentation skills along with excellent written, verbal, and virtual communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to foster relationships with customers and cross-functional partners.

• Proficient in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

• Exceptional accuracy in documentation.

• Strong listening and problem-solving skills.

• Availability Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM-8:00 PM ET; schedule flexibility is necessary based on business needs.

• Bachelor's degree and/or BSN.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).

• Comprehensive understanding and application of principles, practices, and standards in diabetes care directly with patients.

• No visa sponsorship available; must have authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
