Certification Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Production Manager.

• Utilize the online MedRelease record delivery website to support management in the pre-completion of certifications for various records.

• Adhere to HIPAA and PHI document-handling protocols to maintain patient-record integrity and promote effective ROI practices.

• Apply mathematical skills to analyze and interpret medical billing records and clarify them to requesters.

• Manage multiple daily tasks and exceed departmental objectives with minimal oversight post-training.

• Fulfill all mandatory company-sponsored and regulatory training programs.

• Notify the Privacy Officer or Information Security team regarding any suspected unauthorized access, usage, or disclosure of PHI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Work from home Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM; these hours are fixed.

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable with computer usage and able to look at a computer screen on a daily basis.

• Capable of working independently after training, consistently exceeding daily departmental targets with minimal supervision.

• Must be eligible to become a Notary Public in the State of Texas within the first 6 months of employment, but not during the initial 90 days.

• Intermediate to advanced mathematical skills required for comprehending medical billing records.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to comply with corporate and departmental standards.

• Must adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational privacy and security policies.

• Timely completion of all required company-sponsored and regulatory training programs.

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are advantageous.

• Experience in hospital or medical billing is a plus, though not mandatory.
