Carrier Sales Representative – US Logistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Identify and nurture capacity by establishing relationships with carriers

• Negotiate favorable freight rates while safeguarding company profit margins

• Match available carriers with shipments to effectively cover customer loads

• Develop and sustain a dependable carrier network

• Ensure that carriers comply with customer service and regulatory standards

• Communicate essential load details, including pickup and delivery instructions

• Monitor shipments and proactively address any transit issues

• Work in conjunction with Account Managers and Customer Sales Representatives to secure necessary capacity

• Analyze market trends and pricing on lanes to make well-informed pricing choices

• Manage the onboarding process for carriers and maintain accurate records

• Address carrier concerns, detention requests, accessorial charges, and service failures

• Keep precise notes and updates within the Transportation Management System (TMS)

• Ensure timely pickup and delivery performance

• Cultivate long-term relationships with key carrier partners

• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly objectives for load coverage and margin

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in carrier sales within a freight brokerage

• Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

• Familiarity with truckload, LTL, and Intermodal transportation

• Proficiency in utilizing TMS platforms

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Ability to establish trust and maintain robust carrier relationships
