
Carrier Sales Representative β Drayage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +2 more countries.
β’ Identify and cultivate dependable drayage carriers within prominent U.S. port and rail markets.
β’ Establish and nurture connections with dispatchers, owners, and carrier representatives.
β’ Assess carrier capacity by reaching out to carriers regarding equipment availability, lane preferences, and current market conditions.
β’ Solicit and negotiate pricing for drayage shipments, encompassing linehaul and accessorial charges, while safeguarding company profit margins.
β’ Evaluate and choose carriers based on factors such as pricing, availability, equipment, reliability, and service history.
β’ Secure capacity and manage load coverage following customer approval.
β’ Organize pickup and delivery timelines, which include container pulls, appointments, container availability, and Last Free Day requirements.
β’ Supervise shipment execution and address carrier delays, appointment issues, equipment shortages, and container availability concerns.
β’ Oversee accessorial charges, including detention, storage, chassis, waiting time, redelivery, and demurrage-related expenses.
β’ Finalize shipment closeout by confirming final carrier charges, gathering documentation, updating TAI, and ensuring precise record-keeping.
β’ Collaborate with Carrier Sales, Track & Trace, Customer Facing, Accounting, and leadership teams.
β’ Minimum of 2 years' experience in freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, or carrier sales, with a background in drayage/intermodal, port, or rail operations.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of U.S. ports and rail ramps, import/export container movements, container types, chassis requirements, overweight shipments, and drayage accessorials.
β’ Demonstrated experience in negotiating carrier rates, securing truck capacity, and utilizing TMS platforms.
β’ Capability to manage numerous shipments, quotes, carriers, and deadlines simultaneously.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to make decisions under pressure.
β’ Effective communication skills across Carrier Sales, Track & Trace, Customer Facing, Accounting, and leadership teams.
β’ Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm CST.
