Career Advisor Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Offer support to career center staff located in various regions, providing individualized and comprehensive services as part of the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) Program.

• Ensure that all contract-related activities, government interactions, and personnel management adhere to corporate policies and management principles.

• Act as the primary corporate management resource for around 15 career advisors.

• Oversee virtual management of employees and direct the coordination, performance evaluation, and guidance of the career advising team.

• Conduct interviews, hire, train, plan, assign tasks, and direct the work of team members.

• Assess and mentor performance, reward and discipline staff, address grievances, and resolve issues.

• Offer program guidance along with quality-control monitoring and feedback.

• Apply industry-standard practices for contact centers.

• Collaborate with the integrated contract management team while also working independently on various tasks and projects.

• Provide tailored performance coaching and opportunities for professional growth.

• Accurately and professionally complete all required deliverables on time.

• Contribute to new initiatives.

• Develop content for and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Education, Career Counseling, Human Resources, Social Services, Business/Program Management, or a related field; OR a Bachelor's degree in a related area.

• Four years of experience in supporting Contact Center Operations.

• Two years of experience in the administration/management of social service programs.

• Three years of personnel management or staff supervision experience, preferably in a contact center setting.

• Previous experience as a SECO Senior Advisor or SECO Career Center Monitor may substitute for up to one year of experience.

• Knowledge of government contracting practices.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing contract priorities and requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in managing teams that are geographically dispersed is preferred.

• Familiarity with or experience in military lifestyle or population is preferred.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required.

• Capability to complete and pass the full government background check process.

• Availability to work the shift from 1:30pm to 10:00pm EST.

• Proficient in using personal computers, telephones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment.
