This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and diagnose the current business landscape within assigned accounts concerning Amgen Cardiovascular products.

• Strategize and implement actions for achieving success in assigned accounts.

• Collaborate internally through the matrix team and externally with customers to cultivate robust relationships.

• Act as the strategic lead for designated key accounts.

• Implement compliant and innovative strategies to engage priority healthcare providers.

• Ensure availability of products across both inpatient and outpatient care settings.

• Lead initiatives for implementation that enable sustainable usage within institutions/systems.

• Formulate and execute comprehensive account plans that align with the cardiovascular business unit strategy.

• Work together with field teams and aligned medical science liaisons.

• Engage with opinion leaders and decision-makers in the fields of Cardiology, Lipidology, Pharmacy, and P&T Committees.

• Present MAC-approved data/messages in accordance with governing policies.

• Promote appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular products.

• Coordinate access and pull-through initiatives with sales colleagues and field teams.

• Monitor account performance, the performance of Amgen Cardiovascular business, and market dynamics.

• Identify barriers and coordinate pull-through initiatives across Sales Representatives, District Sales Managers, Regional Sales Directors, and Access Specialists.

• Facilitate engagement with the Amgen home office, approved programs, displays, and hospital initiatives.

• Develop professional relationships with decision-makers in hospital pharmacy, clinical, quality, and finance sectors.

• Collaborate with Access Specialists to enhance portfolio access.

• Provide field intelligence, insights, and recommendations to Business Analytics, Brand, and Market Access teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate degree coupled with 2 years of sales experience and/or relevant account management experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of sales experience and/or relevant account management experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of sales experience and/or relevant account management experience.

• Preferably 3+ years of experience in account management and/or public payor settings.

• An advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MBA, PharmD, etc.) and over 7 years of experience in healthcare sales and/or marketing, or related experience in buying processes and decision making.

• Preferred experience in clinic, hospital, dyslipidemia, heart failure, access environments, applicable competitors, and the industry.

• Highly preferred: experience in Cardiology, including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes.

• Strong understanding of the current trends and environment in community cardiology practices.

• Insight into internal and external dynamics related to dyslipidemia and heart failure.

• Knowledge of hospital committee structures, the P&T process, treatment and discharge protocols, DRG, and hospital reimbursement processes.

• Functional knowledge of Medicare and government agencies.

• Familiarity with payor systems.

• Understanding of CMS policies and processes.

• Proven ability to collaborate with the sales force in resolving payor-related issues.

• Leadership capabilities with a focus on influence, impact, and leading without authority.

• Capacity to identify key personnel and departments impacting biopharmaceutical product utilization.

• Ability to identify and secure appropriate Amgen resources.

• Skill in analyzing clinic economics/financial performance and various data sources.

• Exceptional networking, influencing, negotiation, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.

• Innovative problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as in team settings.
