This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieve sales outcomes, operate independently, and act as the primary point of accountability for a successful launch within your designated territory.
• Create territory-specific account strategies that identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities to fulfill customer requirements.
• Collaborate with a local integrated field team, which includes medical, payer, and patient navigation/support professionals.
• Act as a subject matter authority and resource for customers by providing clinically relevant information about diseases and products.
• Generate demand for the product launch.
• Share approved resources with healthcare professionals for the benefit of HCM patients, such as marketing materials, payer information, formulary coverage, patient support services, and educational programs.
• Introduce Cytokinetics in the assigned territory and facilitate the launch of its first commercial product, a novel cardiac myosin inhibitor for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical sales is required.
• Preference for candidates who have served as a representative with exclusive territorial ownership.
• Experience in cardiology, rare diseases, or specialty products is preferred.
• Specialty product launch experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution is preferred.
• Knowledge of key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts within the assigned territory is preferred.
• Required expertise in assessing territory market trends and strategic planning to drive results and surpass sales objectives.
• Proven experience selling to complex accounts, identifying key stakeholders, and addressing patient needs is essential.
• Clinical insight with a strong commitment to understanding and advocating for the needs of customers and their patients is required.
• Must agree to credentialing requirements for access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and organizations within the assigned territory.
• Willingness and ability to travel overnight 25% to 75% based on business requirements and geography is essential.
• Capability to demonstrate an acceptable driving record and possess a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
