Cardiology Coder – PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implement coding procedures and enter charges in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal policies.

• Collaborate with the Practice Coordinator and Revenue Integrity to guarantee that required documentation substantiates the chosen procedure codes.

• Code cases as necessary.

• Engage in audits to assess the accuracy of the selected codes.

• Create strategies to enhance identified coding challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A coding credential is required: RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, or RN.

• At least two (2) years of coding experience in a hospital and/or physician practice, or successful completion of a one-year Revenue Integrity Internship Program.

• Capability to adhere to federal and state regulations, as well as internal policies.

• Ability to confirm that documentation supports the selected procedure codes.

• Competence in participating in coding audits and formulating methods to resolve identified coding issues.
