Cardiologist – Clinical Consultant, ATTR Cardiac Amyloidosis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate patient charts to determine the likelihood of ATTR cardiac amyloidosis, even in cases with limited information.

• Record clinical reasoning using specific, evidence-based criteria.

• Differentiate ATTR from similar disorders and communicate any uncertainties.

• Implement consistent labeling standards.

• Enhance assessments based on emerging evidence and feedback from AI models.

• Clearly articulate clinical decisions to engineers and data scientists.

• Complete labeling batches within established timelines.

• Aid in the enhancement of an AI model that identifies patients likely to present with transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis.

• Conduct patient chart annotation, clinical reasoning, and contribute to AI model improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO with completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology.

• Currently practicing as a Cardiologist.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship experience.

• Practical experience in evaluating and managing patients with suspected or confirmed ATTR cardiomyopathy.

• Proficient in ordering and interpreting PYP scans.

• Available to commit 10–20 hours per week.

• Capable of translating complex clinical judgments into clear, structured criteria.

• US-based clinician.

• Must hold independent contractor status.

• Cannot require H1-B or STEM OPT support.

• Preferred: Experience in Heart Failure or Transplant Cardiology, advanced heart failure, or specialization in amyloidosis or cardiomyopathies.

• Preferred: Background at an amyloidosis center of excellence or cardiomyopathy clinic.

• Preferred: Publications related to ATTR cardiomyopathy screening, epidemiology, or diagnostic pathways.

• Preferred: Previous collaboration with AI/ML teams, clinical decision-support systems, or clinical chart labeling.
