Cardiac Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct interval duration and heart rate assessments on both digital and paper ECGs in line with established protocols and quality benchmarks.

• Analyze, assess, and apply digital calipers to ECG waveforms utilizing validated measurement techniques.

• Employ approved software applications to transform cardiac image data into formats suitable for analysis and confirm the accuracy of the conversion.

• Accurately calibrate and scale ECG images to facilitate high-quality cardiac assessments.

• Process and interpret cardiac safety data from ongoing Holter recordings and various cardiac monitoring systems.

• Extract and handle protocol-specific 12-lead ECG timepoints, ensuring correct data transfer into designated databases.

• Review ECGs for potential safety issues and escalate alerts according to established protocols and timelines.

• Carry out Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) processing and quality review tasks.

• Prioritize assigned workflows and process cardiac safety data as per operational priorities and study specifications.

• Engage in quality assurance initiatives to ensure and uphold the accuracy, consistency, precision, and repeatability of measurements.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all work activities assigned.

• Identify and report any system performance issues or technical challenges through established support channels.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Adhere to departmental protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Cardiac Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, or a related discipline is highly preferred.

• ECG certification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, electrophysiology, and cardiac physiology.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in an ECG Core Lab, cardiac monitoring environment, clinical research setting, or other regulated healthcare environments.

• Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), data privacy laws, and quality-controlled settings is preferred.

• Experience in reviewing, processing, or analyzing ECG, Holter, ambulatory cardiac monitoring, or related cardiac safety data is preferred.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, database management systems, and web-based tools.

• Capability to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
