Caption Translator – English to Maithili

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Translate content across captions/subtitles, documents, web pages, and software applications.

• Correct cultural translation errors using Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE).

• Adjust translations to fit a specific word count without altering the original meaning.

• Manage the translation database utilizing Translation Management Software.

• Ensure quality assurance throughout the translation process.

• Collaborate with a diverse array of media and translation software.

• Address challenges related to translation, localization, and cultural nuances.

• Coordinate with various departments to deliver translation services.

• Apply feedback and implement changes whenever feasible.

• Collaborate with fellow translators and report directly to the project manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics.

• At least four years of experience in the translation industry.

• Proficient in any Translation Management System tools and software.

• In-depth knowledge of the translation process, terminology, and localization methods.

• Familiarity with localization guidelines and industry standards.

• Capability to translate written materials into a second language.

• Outstanding translation, writing, and communication abilities.

• Fluency in a minimum of two target languages.

• Capacity to meet tight deadlines.

• Additional certification in Linguistics is advantageous.
