📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge of calibration principles under the guidance of laboratory technicians.

• Cultivate the ability to conduct calibrations autonomously.

• Engage in dimensional, electrical, pressure, and temperature disciplines as appropriate.

• Execute responsibilities safely in compliance with company policies and standards.

• Complete designated learning activities.

• Attain proficiency in two disciplines while continuing to enhance skills.

• Progress toward the role of Calibration Technician I within a period of 18 months, necessitating proficiency in at least three disciplines.

• Adhere to Transcat’s Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001).

• Carry out additional tasks as delegated.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

• Prior experience or training in electronics or machining is preferred.

• Basic mathematical abilities, including algebra, geometry, and statistics, are preferred.

• Familiarity with fundamental hand tools is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is preferred.

• Basic organizational and time management skills are preferred.

• Capability to read, write, speak, and hear.

• Ability to sit and manipulate tools and equipment using hands and fingers.

• Capacity to occasionally stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.

• Capability to work safely in environments with electrical shock hazards, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, vibration, and other specified conditions.

• Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of identity and employment eligibility and, where applicable, a motor vehicle driving record report.
