This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with business development and proposal efforts within the defense contracting industry.
• Acquire practical experience in communication writing techniques.
• Engage in real-world projects and contribute to impactful results.
• Organize and keep records of business transactions and office operations.
• Execute administrative tasks utilizing appropriate systems and procedures.
• Generate information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
• Type agendas, manuscripts, letters, and various documents.
• Review and direct correspondence, as well as initiate telecommunications.
• Collect, duplicate, tabulate, and disseminate data.
• Prepare documentation and reports.
• Operate under the guidance of the Director of Proposals.
• Engage in mentorship, networking, learning, and professional growth activities.
• Competence in using computers and other relevant technologies, tools, and systems for the role.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Capability to work independently as part of a technically diverse, geographically dispersed team.
• Ability to endure periods of prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk-based computer tasks.
• Willingness to occasionally work extended hours, including evenings or weekends, as necessary.
• Proficient in communicating with team members, clients, and stakeholders through both verbal and written forms.
• Skill in managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail.
• Capacity to engage with others in dynamic settings, including situations that require problem-solving and conflict resolution.
• Successful completion of a background investigation.
• Alcohol and drug screening may be mandated for compliance with federal contracts.
• U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.
• Must have eligibility to work in the United States; proof of work eligibility is required.
