This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and execute complex business valuation projects from the initial proposal stage through to project completion.
• Conduct industry research, including analysis of comparable publicly traded companies and similar transactions.
• Evaluate competitive industry trends and examine the financial health of peer companies.
• Perform benchmarking analysis and financial statement evaluations.
• Develop and interpret financial valuation models.
• Create comprehensive valuation reports for financial institutions, legal professionals, private businesses, and accounting firms.
• Act as the primary client liaison throughout the valuation process.
• Oversee the collection of financial documents, address client inquiries, and provide finalized valuation reports.
• Engage in business development initiatives such as conferences and networking opportunities, as desired.
• Collaborate on projects with the division Director as necessary.
• Execute forensic financial analyses, develop models, maintain documentation, assist in report writing, and implement quality control measures.
• Discuss and clarify issues with a manager or Managing Director and follow preferred guidance.
• Analyze data and both financial and non-financial information using a forensic lens.
• Produce reports for entity valuation, purchase price allocation, tax planning, and succession planning purposes.
• Draft clear and concise reports that are easily understandable to clients, attorneys, and the Court.
• Stay adaptable and responsive to client demands, including attending meetings at client-designated times and locations.
• Be prepared to work extended hours and meet tight deadlines when necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance is required.
• CVA or ABV certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in private company valuation is required.
• Proven experience in analyzing financial statements and related schedules is essential.
• Familiarity with ASC 718 and/or ASC 805 is preferred.
• Prior experience with BVR or similar valuation databases is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is required.
• A strong understanding of economics, financial theory, and/or accounting principles is necessary.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Superior analytical and research abilities are essential.
• Strong organizational skills, particularly in meeting project deadlines with attention to detail, are necessary.
• Ability to effectively multitask while working independently or as part of a team is crucial.
• Demonstrated capability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact successfully with professionals at all levels.
• Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% is required.
• Must not need and will not require LCG sponsorship through any non-immigrant visa category such as H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN, now or in the future.
