This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +11 more states.
• Take charge of the planning, coordination, and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for designated releases and projects.
• Lead business analysis initiatives independently for small to moderate projects, from the discovery of requirements through to implementation and validation.
• Conduct requirements workshops, discovery sessions, and cross-functional meetings with business, technology, and vendor stakeholders.
• Elicit, document, and obtain approval for clear, comprehensive, and testable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Convert requirements into UAT test plans and scenarios.
• Create and sustain UAT plans, entry/exit criteria, readiness checklists, and schedules.
• Recruit, prepare, and mentor business users who will act as UAT testers.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, UAT scenarios, defects, and business validation.
• Monitor UAT execution, defects, and resolution status, providing reports on UAT health.
• Facilitate defect triage and communication between business testers, Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), and engineering teams.
• Oversee UAT sign-offs, approvals, and provide go/no-go recommendations.
• Organize test environment and test data readiness in collaboration with technical teams.
• Present completed solutions to stakeholders and verify that functionality aligns with business objectives.
• Maintain UAT and requirements documentation, templates, and standards while promoting continuous improvement.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned according to business needs.
• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in roles such as Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar technology delivery positions.
• Proven experience independently leading requirements discovery and analysis for technology projects.
• Experience in facilitating requirements workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Skilled in translating business needs into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Background in supporting or coordinating User Acceptance Testing within the software development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the interplay between requirements, development, testing, UAT, and implementation.
• Familiarity with requirements, test management, or defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• Excellent meeting facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent initiatives, priorities, and deadlines.
• Ability to independently own assigned tasks and drive activities and decisions to resolution.
• Proficient in using standard office equipment and computer peripherals.
• Preferred: experience in mortgage lending, financial services, or another regulated sector.
• Preferred: understanding of mortgage lending processes including origination, processing, underwriting, closing/funding, and post-closing.
• Preferred: experience with Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) or other business-purpose lending.
• Preferred: familiarity with Loan Origination Systems or similar lending technology, including product and pricing eligibility, rules engines, workflow design, or underwriting conditions.
• Preferred: experience coordinating formal UAT cycles involving multiple business stakeholders or non-technical testers.
• Preferred: knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Preferred: ability to write basic SQL queries or perform data validation.
