Business Solutions Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold strategic objectives and vision for assigned workstreams

• Integrate workstream roadmaps into relevant organizational roadmaps

• Create annual roadmaps and ensure their maintenance throughout the year

• Collaborate with project management and technology teams to segment programs into phased projects

• Establish high-level goals for various programs

• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and represent their interests

• Draft project charters and/or RACI documents

• Collect high-level requirements for projects during assessment and discovery

• Coordinate with program management to advance projects through stage gates

• Track project flow and readiness for completion

• Plan, monitor, and analyze critical metrics for project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and overall business success

• Collaborate with the OCM team to ensure successful implementation and ongoing usage

• Identify challenges and propose solutions to enhance team efficiency and productivity

• Act as a product advocate to foster solution awareness, understanding, and adoption

• Develop and track usage KPIs

• Prepare cost-benefit analyses and other financial documentation

• Create executive-level presentations for programs and projects

• Share expertise, mentor, and develop staff on solution and process best practices

• Manage both internal and external resources along with service standards

• Monitor market trends and propose new solutions to business stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field

• At least 10 years of post-graduate experience in the P&C insurance sector or with a technology firm serving the industry

• Demonstrated history of impactful successes as a leader within insurance organizations or technology companies

• Strong expertise in insurance systems

• In-depth understanding of business applications software development processes

• High sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit

• Exceptional intellect, motivation, and interpersonal skills

• Capability to independently address cross-functional and cross-organizational issues

• Desirable project management skills, including defining scope, maintaining project plans, and leading project teams

• Ability to nurture relationships with clients, partners, coworkers, and executives
