Business Process Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the analysis and optimization of specified process domains within the title insurance lifecycle.

• Collaborate with functional area teams and cross-functional stakeholders to rethink and enhance workflows.

• Convert operational requirements into scalable, digital-first solutions.

• Work alongside technology and product teams to identify automation opportunities, system improvements, and integrations.

• Utilize production data and conduct root cause analysis to identify problems and evaluate performance.

• Create, update, and manage standardized process documentation, including SOPs, swim lanes, and process narratives.

• Integrate compliance and regulatory standards into the process design.

• Act as a process domain expert across various business units, divisions, and segments.

• Assist in the rollout and institutionalization of optimized processes across different geographies and business segments.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in the relevant functional area.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of operations and processes in the functional area.

• Proven experience in process analysis, workflow design, and leading process improvement projects.

• Familiarity with title production systems (e.g., Ignite, FAST, SoftPro, ResWare, RamQuest, Qualia, or similar platforms).

• Excellent analytical, communication, and process documentation skills.

• Capable of translating complex workflows into clear and actionable insights.

• Ability to juggle multiple initiatives in a fast-paced and changing environment.

• Proficient in process mapping and data tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid Chart, Excel, and data visualization platforms).

• Demonstrated digital mindset and flexibility.

• Experience in the title insurance and escrow industry is preferred.

• Background in supporting multi-state, regional, or national title and escrow operations is preferred.

• Experience in driving process automation and workflow optimization within title and escrow settings is preferred.

• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

• Experience in the design, configuration, or enhancement of title production systems is preferred.
