Business Management Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Deliver personalized, one-on-one management and business skills consulting services to both startup and established small enterprises.

• Create training content and lead webinars and workshops focused on the initiation and growth of small businesses.

• Establish relationships with local community leaders to promote economic development initiatives aimed at small business expansion and progress.

• Perform financial and operational evaluations for small business clients.

• Recognize growth obstacles and propose strategies to enhance business performance and sustainability.

• Formulate scopes of services, financial forecasts, and actionable plans.

• Provide consulting services and financial literacy training to business proprietors.

• Examine financial data, including ratio analysis, to inform decision-making and guide clients towards favorable business growth results.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with community leaders, business owners, and partners.

• Advocate for economic development resources and discover new funding or partnership opportunities.

• Ensure accurate client documentation, reporting, timekeeping, and communication.

• Facilitate team collaboration, staff training, and organizational initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in business, management, finance, administration, or a related discipline along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in business ownership, startups, business development, operations, finance, consulting, or leadership roles that support business growth or turnaround efforts; OR a bachelor’s degree in the same areas with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• Strong facilitation, writing, communication, computer, and analytical skills.

• Capability to develop workshops focused on small business management consulting.

• Ability to engage and foster new and existing partnerships within target communities.

• Proficiency in working one-on-one with entrepreneurs to enhance their business skills and management capacity.

• Competence to work independently while being accountable for results.

• Ability to assist in the training of other management consultants.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Reliable transportation is essential.

• Acceptable driving record required.

• Must maintain at least the state minimum personal liability auto insurance coverage.

• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
