This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the enterprise Business Intelligence strategy, architecture, and roadmap aimed at enhancing self-service analytics.
• Create governance frameworks, certified datasets, reusable semantic models, and standards for enterprise reporting.
• Formulate and implement an adoption strategy that enables business users to independently access reliable data and insights.
• Assess emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and industry best practices as a thought leader in Business Intelligence.
• Set KPIs to track self-service adoption, platform usage, analytics maturity, and business value.
• Design and implement enterprise BI solutions utilizing Power BI, Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, and Databricks.
• Create scalable semantic models, enterprise data models, and governed reporting solutions.
• Establish standards for architecture, security, governance, visualization, and performance optimization.
• Act as the BI subject matter expert for the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
• Design and implement Row-Level Security and Object-Level Security.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to enhance ETL/ELT processes, curated datasets, and reporting models.
• Lead modernization projects, including the migration of legacy platforms and the adoption of cloud and AI technologies.
• Set standards for Azure DevOps, Git, source control, automated deployment, and release management.
• Direct BI initiatives in an Agile setting using Jira and Scrum ceremonies.
• Provide mentorship and development opportunities for BI Analysts and Developers through technical leadership, architecture reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure analytics initiatives align with strategic objectives.
• Enhance enterprise BI adoption and decrease ad hoc reporting requests.
• Build and nurture a high-performing BI team while promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, or Enterprise Reporting.
• At least 3 years of technical leadership experience overseeing enterprise BI initiatives or teams.
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Power BI.
• Expert-level proficiency with Tableau.
• Expert-level proficiency with SAP BusinessObjects.
• Expert-level proficiency with Databricks, including Delta Lake, SQL Warehouses, Unity Catalog, and Lakehouse Architecture.
• Strong expertise in SQL, enterprise data modeling, semantic modeling, and data warehousing.
• In-depth knowledge of BI architecture, governance, and enterprise security, including RLS/OLS.
• Proficient in ETL/ELT processes and cloud analytics platforms.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Background in performance optimization for enterprise reporting solutions.
• Proven track record in implementing enterprise self-service analytics programs that foster adoption and minimize manual reporting.
• Demonstrated history of leading organizational change and advocating for a data-driven culture.
• Experience in establishing BI governance, Centers of Excellence, and enterprise best practices.
• Proven success in mentoring BI Analysts and technical teams.
• Experience in a fast-paced Agile environment utilizing Jira and contemporary Scrum practices.
• Outstanding communication, collaboration, strategic thinking, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Capability to complete a role-specific assessment.
• Successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening, where permitted by law.
