Business Immigration Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Thoroughly prepare cases, legal strategies, and cover letters.

• Cultivate an expert-level comprehension of client cases, which includes preparing immigrant and non-immigrant petitions with detailed knowledge of the application process and requirements, particularly in EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs.

• Oversee multiple projects and deadlines, while preparing and revising documents as needed.

• Clearly articulate legal terminology to clients in a timely and concise manner.

• Investigate unique legal matters by pinpointing relevant statutes and judicial rulings.

• Keep abreast of legislative updates that could impact immigration.

• Formulate solutions to intricate legal questions.

• Provide training to client companies and individuals on important legal topics and updates regarding new immigration laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, address client concerns, and support all client initiatives.

• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and foreign nationals about procedural and case processing issues, as well as case strategy.

• Have the ability to evaluate the eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for both non-immigrant and immigrant visa statuses in the U.S.

• Collaborate with distinguished global mobility personnel and the office of general counsel, which includes the preparation of petitions and applications for submission to the Department of Labor (DOL) and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for foreign national employees’ non-immigrant and immigrant status.

• Oversee the work of paralegal staff in maintaining records and document preparation to ensure accuracy.


⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school, exhibit a solid academic record, and be admitted to a U.S. state bar in good standing.

• 1-2 years of experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs is advantageous.

• Being bilingual in Mandarin is a plus.

• Possess high-level organizational skills.

• Exhibit exceptional written and oral communication skills.

• Demonstrate strong time management and attention to detail, along with the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume law firm environment.

• Show adaptability and a willingness to learn across various practice areas.

• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.

• Capable of working independently on daily tasks, proactively and with minimal supervision.
