This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• In the role of Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial part in driving the growth and impact of Civitech.
• Your responsibilities will include identifying, connecting with, and qualifying potential partners who can leverage our array of tools to further their progressive missions, expand their audience, and enhance their connections with constituents and communities.
• Actively seek out and research potential partners such as Democratic campaigns, progressive organizations, unions, non-profits, and political committees that align with Civitech's mission.
• Implement a multi-channel outreach strategy that encompasses cold emailing, social media interactions, and phone calls to initiate contact and spark interest.
• Develop and maintain targeted prospect lists while ensuring data integrity within our CRM system (HubSpot).
• Keep abreast of the political landscape, election cycles, and key issues to identify timely engagement opportunities.
• Effectively and persuasively communicate Civitech's value proposition, demonstrating a thorough understanding of our offerings and the ideal personas for adoption.
• Conduct initial discovery calls with potential partners to grasp their needs, goals, and challenges.
• Assess leads based on predetermined criteria to determine their suitability for Civitech’s services and prepare them for subsequent steps in the sales pipeline.
• Arrange and coordinate meetings and product demonstrations between qualified prospects and the sales team.
• Foster early-stage relationships by providing pertinent information and resources to build trust and maintain engagement.
• Diligently track all outreach efforts, communications, and lead statuses in the CRM to ensure a well-organized and healthy sales pipeline.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales and the sales team to develop and refine outreach strategies, messaging, and campaign tactics.
• Dedicated to utilizing technology and data products to assist Democratic candidates in running for office and achieving victory, empowering progressive causes, and enhancing civic engagement.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales development, or a comparable client-facing role, with a proven track record in the following areas:
• Practical experience in identifying and researching potential partners in a focused and systematic manner.
• Demonstrated success in employing a mix of email, phone calls, and social media to initiate contact and generate interest.
• Proficiency in conducting initial discovery discussions to comprehend partner needs and evaluate the potential for partnership.
• Competence in using a CRM (like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to monitor activities and manage a pipeline of prospective partners.
