Business Development Manager – MEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Assess market potential and identify prospects through on-site activities.

• Create and execute business development strategies tailored for emerging markets and sectors in alignment with regional goals.

• Discover and cultivate new business and strategic partnership opportunities in emerging markets.

• Formulate and implement business development strategies and action plans.

• Interact with potential partners and stakeholders via emails, phone calls, visits, conferences, and presentations.

• Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on strategic alignment and needs.

• Showcase the Sartorius value proposition and potential collaboration areas.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on partnership concepts, business cases, and cooperation frameworks.

• Develop and maintain relationships with partners, governmental bodies, academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and relevant organizations.

• Foster collaboration with local key opinion leaders to facilitate endorsements, presentations, awareness, and the adoption of Sartorius solutions.

• Analyze business development data and performance metrics to refine best practices in business development.

• Utilize SFDC for managing and documenting leads, contacts, opportunities, and stakeholder interactions.

• Keep abreast of industry regulations, governmental priorities, and compliance standards pertinent to the region.


⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in life sciences or engineering, paired with relevant business experience; advanced education is preferred.

• At least five years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, strategy, or a related field within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

• A robust network and in-depth market knowledge across the Middle East and Africa.

• Solid understanding of biopharmaceutical processes and technologies.

• Experience in the GCC region is highly desirable.

• Strong expertise in business development and partnership development methodologies.

• Keen interest in markets and technologies that are yet to be explored.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to independently manage projects and strategic initiatives.

• Outstanding communication, influencing, and negotiation capabilities.

• Demonstrated effectiveness in a multicultural and international setting.

• Proficient in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

• Willingness to travel as required within the region.
