This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop, maintain, and improve domain-specific data products and data models utilizing dbt and Snowflake.
β’ Collaborate with the Data Domains team to identify and integrate enterprise data for essential business products.
β’ Convert business requirements into scalable, reusable technical solutions.
β’ Design and execute solutions for complex ad hoc data requests.
β’ Conduct data validation, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and quality assurance.
β’ Examine data quality and production issues and implement sustainable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
β’ Design and sustain configuration-driven solutions for intricate business rules.
β’ Ensure data models are traceable, well-documented, tested, and ready for audits.
β’ Analyze the interactions among data, business rules, configurations, and downstream reporting.
β’ Become the technical subject matter expert for designated business domains.
β’ Work with Business Analysts to transform functional requirements into technical solutions.
β’ Collaborate with Data Engineering, DevOps, Data Governance, Analytics, and other teams on quality, security, performance, and governance.
β’ Assess data products and technical designs for scalability, performance, maintainability, usability, and enhancements in quality.
β’ Create and maintain technical documentation, business rules, configuration documentation, validation procedures, and data definitions.
β’ Handle confidential and sensitive data in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
β’ No formal supervisory responsibilities.
β’ Five (5) to Seven (7) years of relevant professional experience in data analysis.
β’ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
β’ Proven experience in communicating with diverse stakeholders, including teachers and school leaders.
β’ Self-motivated to address emergent issues using the best available tools while working collaboratively with team members and data analysts.
β’ Proficient in MS365.
β’ Experience in data analysis, modeling, design, and documentation.
β’ Background in developing reports and/or dashboards using MS Access, MS Power BI, or Excel.
β’ Familiarity with programming standards and techniques, preferably with experience in writing SQL.
β’ Capability to effectively communicate technology concepts to both technically proficient and non-technically proficient individuals.
β’ Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
β’ Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
β’ Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
β’ Ability to pass a required background check.
β’ Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, technology, or education leadership (preferred).
β’ Experience working in education with academic data sets (preferred).
β’ Knowledge of developing dashboards in business intelligence tools like PowerBI (preferred).
β’ Experience with scripting in Python for ETL processes (preferred).
β’ Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, Streamsets, and/or Alation (preferred).
