Business Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, sourcing, preparing, and validating data from various systems and sources.

• Clean, transform, and analyze intricate datasets to uncover patterns, trends, root causes, and insights.

• Establish and maintain standards for the accuracy and consistency of outputs.

• Clearly and concisely summarize findings, translating analysis into actionable recommendations.

• Proactively identify risks and opportunities, and ensure follow-through on the adoption of recommendations.

• Serve as a trusted analytical advisor by partnering with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams.

• Spot opportunities for data quality, system enhancements, and process improvements.

• Develop business cases and lead implementation efforts alongside the Business Analysis team and relevant stakeholders.

• Oversee the rollout and adoption of new reporting, tools, and processes.

• Evaluate and document impacts, coordinate updates to deliverables, and assist stakeholders during transitions.

• Stay informed about advancements in data analysis methodologies and tools.

• Advocate for AI tools in data preparation, analysis, reporting, documentation, and automation.

• Identify and pilot new AI use cases while coaching colleagues across the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.

• A proven history of independently delivering complex, stakeholder-ready analyses that impact business decisions.

• Experience in a SaaS or technology company is preferred.

• Familiarity with product analytics is an advantage.

• Experience with AI data products or utilizing AI tools in analytical workflows is beneficial.

• Capability to accurately interpret complex data and convert findings into clear, business-relevant insights and recommendations.

• Proficiency in explaining analytical concepts and conclusions to non-technical and senior stakeholders without sacrificing rigor.

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality and accuracy.

• Ability to independently resolve complex data quality and integration issues.

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI or a similar BI platform.

• Advanced skills in MS Excel.

• Fluency in English is essential.

• A valid work/residence permit for Germany or the UK is required.
