Business Analytics Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Gather, sanitize, and examine extensive datasets utilizing statistical techniques and tools.

• Detect trends, patterns, and relationships to provide actionable insights.

• Create and develop dashboards for internal and customer-oriented products using business intelligence tools.

• Assist in the redesign of current products and the development of iterative enhancement features.

• Track KPIs for business units or projects and deliver performance updates.

• Recognize areas for improvement or optimization.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to grasp analytical requirements and foster data-driven decision-making.

• Spot opportunities for process improvement based on data analysis.

• Aid in modernizing the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform.

• Contribute to the delivery of a scalable, self-service solution framework and CI/CD practices.

• Perform ad hoc analyses and respond to business inquiries through data mining, modeling, or other analytical methods.

• Document processes, methodologies, and findings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Strong analytical capabilities with the capacity to manage large datasets.

• Proficiency in Excel and Salesforce.com or a comparable CRM is preferred.

• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.

• Familiarity with SQL for database querying is a plus.

• Interest in or exposure to dashboard and product design principles, including UX considerations, is beneficial.

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and oral communication abilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Previous internship experience or coursework related to analytics is helpful but not mandatory.

• Must have eligibility to work in the US.

• Sponsorship is not available for interns.

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree.
