Business Analytics Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the target architecture for a data and analytics platform prioritized for AI initiatives.

• Set the technical direction and modernization strategies for the analytics technology stack.

• Design scalable data infrastructure, including ingestion and transformation frameworks, storage models, and integration patterns.

• Create governed semantic data layers that support AI agents, natural language querying, conversational analytics, and AI-driven data experiences.

• Develop secure retrieval, API, and integration patterns for AI agents and applications.

• Spearhead data governance, security, privacy, access control, and compliance architecture.

• Establish engineering standards related to data modeling, testing, observability, CI/CD, documentation, deployment, and system integration.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to Analytics Engineers.

• Collaborate with teams in Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Revenue Operations.

• Report directly to the VP of Analytics.

• Travel up to 10% for team collaboration, customer engagements, and company events; participate in the annual company offsite.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in designing and evolving modern data and analytics architectures.

• Proven experience in making architectural decisions that span across multiple systems, teams, or business use cases.

• Extensive experience with tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Python, and SQL.

• Background in designing scalable data models, transformation pipelines, semantic or metrics layers, and integration patterns.

• Experience in architecting or implementing AI-enabled data systems, including natural language analytics, AI agents, RAG, vector search, or similar LLM-powered workflows.

• Thorough understanding of enterprise data governance, security, privacy, access control, and data quality practices.

• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, version control, and reliable deployment methodologies.

• Capability to set technical direction and assess complex architectural trade-offs.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex data and AI architecture into clear decisions and technical guidance.
