Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather and document business requirements from client stakeholders, including compliance, audit, risk, and IT teams, specifically for SoD rules, access controls, and risk libraries within the SafePaaS platform.

• Convert regulatory requirements into functional specifications and user stories for the SafePaaS product/configuration team.

• Create dashboards and reports that visualize SoD violations, remediation status, control effectiveness, and audit readiness metrics for both client stakeholders and internal leadership.

• Assist with client onboarding by aligning business processes and risk taxonomies to SafePaaS rule sets, collaborating with technical configuration teams.

• Lead Agile ceremonies for platform improvements and client implementation projects, managing requirements in JIRA/Confluence.

• Develop audit-ready documentation, including functional specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), control narratives, and remediation reports.

• Act as a bridge between clients' compliance and audit teams and SafePaaS's technical delivery team, ensuring that requirements are accurately captured and met.

• Remain informed on emerging risk areas such as AI/non-human identity (NHI) governance and changing regulatory frameworks, and assist in integrating these into requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Systems Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial compliance, fraud/risk, or regulatory settings.

• Proficient in SQL with experience in validating and reconciling data across various systems.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies (JIRA, Confluence) and crafting user stories/functional specifications.

• Strong skills in dashboard/reporting tools (Power BI or similar BI applications).

• Knowledge of internal control frameworks (SOX, COSO, ITGC) and concepts related to segregation of duties.

• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement, with experience collaborating across compliance, audit, and technical teams.
