This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist the Railroad Commission of Texas with the Mainframe Reports and Extract initiative.

• Conduct advanced business analysis for intricate, emerging technology hardware and software projects.

• Collect and document business requirements utilizing various elicitation techniques.

• Evaluate, analyze, and enhance business processes related to reporting and data initiatives.

• Execute data analysis and investigate the root causes of data discrepancies.

• Develop and maintain data flow documentation for interconnected reporting projects.

• Facilitate report development using Power BI and Snowflake.

• Organize data publishing on the DIR Open Data Portal or the RRC website.

• Create and verify user acceptance testing.

• Assist in training and implementation efforts.

• Collaborate with business area personnel to design technical solutions that fulfill business requirements.

• Provide research and special project assistance to users.

• Ensure that deliverables adhere to established processes, maintain consistent quality standards, and follow accepted business analysis methodologies.

• Delegate and oversee the work of others as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 years of exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.

• 8 years of experience in gathering requirements and producing reports.

• 8 years of experience in facilitating the creation and analysis of business requirements, collaborating with business area personnel to design technical solutions.

• 5 years of experience in participating in and guiding the business in developing and executing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities.

• 2 years of experience with Snowflake and Power BI.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.

• Preference will be given to candidates who currently reside in Texas.

• 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
