Building Services Engineer – Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver nationwide mobile technical support for Yugo's UK-operated managed estate portfolio, which encompasses around 100 properties.

• Assist the Building Services / FM Support Team and stakeholders with both planned and reactive maintenance, emergency building works, and project activities.

• Perform Acceptance into Service tasks, which include design and specification assessments, H&S File evaluations, functional testing, observations, performance reviews, recording, reporting, and defect identification.

• Recognize technical issues related to the estate and carry out thorough investigations and evaluations.

• Prepare professional reports that reference relevant statutes, regulations, Approved Codes of Practice, standards, guidance, and best industry practices.

• Register, monitor, and report on building and service defects, operational and maintenance challenges, causality, and notifications to property owners.

• Identify potential solutions, associated costs, and proposals, including remediation business cases, budget estimates, CAPEX registrations, and budget submissions.

• Monitor approved remedial actions and maintain records of long-term property/service liabilities and associated risks.

• Conduct and support desktop H&S File evaluations, data collection, data analysis, and reporting.

• Carry out both desktop and physical site asset surveys, producing premises-specific and estate-wide asset schedules.

• Offer technical support and guidance across building fabric, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

• Create assigned project work packages along with contract scopes/specifications.

• Handle requests for quotations and tenders related to project works.

• Generate bottom-up cost estimates utilizing SPONS, CIBSE, IET, and RICS/BCIS guides.

• Maintain and report on premises-specific backlog and lifecycle works registers.

• Manage specialist subcontractors in compliance with legislation and Yugo's health, safety, and environmental policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant qualification at a Technical / Building Services degree level or equivalent.

• Prior experience in a Building Services Engineer role for a large multi-client estate.

• Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, Construction and Design Management, and Contractor Management.

• Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, British / Harmonized Standards, Professional Institute Standards and Guidance, and related UK legislation.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed.
