This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Take ownership of and oversee the New Build Deployment Tracker for designated buildings, monitoring milestones from Cable Ready to Production Ready.
• Conduct weekly coordination calls for New Build projects involving cross-functional and internal teams.
• Manage dependencies across various network layers.
• Integrate construction and network timelines while ensuring consistency between different schedule sources.
• Lead or co-lead New Build meetings commencing at the cable start for newly constructed data centers.
• Provide weekly program updates detailing risks, milestone achievements, and upcoming deadlines.
• Act as a liaison between Construction Managers, Deployment Engineers, Connectivity Engineers, and supporting teams.
• Persuade cross-functional partners to supply and commit to timelines.
• Facilitate the creation and escalation of SEVs for schedule-related risks and obstacles.
• Coordinate network infrastructure deployment across 2–4 concurrent buildings.
• Monitor hardware delivery SLAs, material logistics, warehouse locations, shipping, and upstream dependencies.
• Understand and manage the variances between different building types.
• Monitor and address deployment challenges.
• Identify scheduling risks using SLA back-off calculations and hardware delivery schedules.
• Develop and manage SEVs for deployment issues.
• Communicate the impacts on timelines and provide updated schedules.
• Escalate unmet commitments from cross-functional teams to leadership.
• Contribute to the standardization of templates across building types.
• Conduct reviews of lessons learned.
• Mentor and train new DEMs through reverse shadowing and milestone sessions.
• Strong comprehension of data center network infrastructure and production network layers.
• Familiarity with rack & stack, provisioning, circuit audits, device scanning, and activation/undrain workflows.
• Understanding of hardware delivery SLAs, BOM management, warehouse operations, and vendor coordination.
• Proficiency in project tracking tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and agentic frameworks for workflow automation and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Capacity to navigate political dynamics within organizations.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex multi-site status for clear leadership presentations.
• Proven track record of driving accountability.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in project/program management within data center construction, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or critical facility deployment.
• Experience managing projects valued between $1M and $10M with several concurrent workstreams and cross-functional dependencies.
• Direct involvement in data center construction phases: foundation, cable start, TFO, commissioning, and network turn-up.
• Experience collaborating with MSPs and field operations teams in a data center setting.
• Previous experience in hyperscale data center environments is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience (8+ years in data center/network deployment).
• PMP, CAPM, or CSM certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Ability to obtain site access badges and pass background checks for data center facilities.
• Willingness to support critical deployment milestones outside of standard working hours.
